Caerleon

We stayed in a B&B in Caerleon, a small town outside of Newport.  It is very small and has a "one way system" for the streets as they are too narrow to have cars going both ways.  We ate at a pub the first night and got a ride with our host, Brian, so we could figure out how the town was.  Plus we were pretty jetlagged and had already driven over an hour from the airport in Bristol England in the rain.  Here's a picture of the center of Caerleon (pronounced Ka-LEE-un).

You can see the post office with the red mailbox outside.  Here's a better view.  So cool!

This is a small alley that cars actually drive down.  Everything is so much older than in the U.S.

As we walked around town near the ruins we saw this little hamlet not too far away.  The countryside is mainly made up of lots of small hamlets.  They are so quaint.

We loved Wales and saw a lot of the central part of the country as we drove around.
