Chorley England

We left Ruthin after breakfast on Saturday and headed toward the Preston temple which is actually in Chorley.  We had reservations to stay in the temple patron accommodations so had to check in before noon.  We also wanted to do some work at the temple.  The room had twin beds, a microwave, sink, fridge, and dishes.  The building also had a laundry room and large common room and a kitchen that was actually four in one.  Lots of bunk rooms on the second level.
The England MTC is also in the same complex along with the temple missionaries' accommodations.  It was a great place to spend a quiet weekend.  Here is the MTC.  The building is bigger than this picture, but wanted to get the flags in.

The temple grounds are amazing!!  I've never seen such well cared for gardens.  Kids were playing hide and seek on Saturday and also Sunday after meetings.  Here is an example. "Where's Meemo?"

And here's the temple.  It was so beautiful inside and out!

We attended a ward Sunday morning at the stake center which is also right next to the temple. Sunday evening we were walking around the grounds and went into the stake center.  We heard some choir music and went into the chapel to listen.  We found out that they were practicing for the first British pageant which is in a couple of weeks and will be performed behind the stake center.  The music was amazing! The pageant was written by people from all over Great Britain.  It was fun to get a glimpse of what it will be like and was a great end to a wonderful weekend.
