As we were walking to church we passed the entrance to this castle. Because we couldn't attend the meetings we thought we would walk around the grounds. As we went inside, we saw a sign that said the tours were free so we decided to go on one. It was our own private tour and we learned a lot about the owners of this place. It's called Rathfarnum Castle and was built around 1583. There are some rooms that they have restored and the ceiling paintings were amazing! We really enjoyed walking around the grounds. Then we walked back to the bus stop and headed back to the hotel.
